A big welcome to our wonderful stallholders, groups, volunteers and visitors. Thanks for joining us this Saturday.
We have a big, bold, and bustling Bellingen Autumn Plant Fair planned for Bellingen Park, this Saturday from 5am – 3pm for stallholders and 8am – 2pm for visitors. The weather is looking good, the community is keen and we hope you are too.
The Bellingen Environment Centre Inc. proudly presents the Plant Fair twice a year in March (Autumn) and September (Spring). It’s their biggest fundraiser and a tremendous boost to their mission of helping protect our forests, animals, water and environment. More than ever we need people to be proactive in protecting our precious resources.
A big thanks to our wonderful volunteers who help make our Plant Fair happen. You are true legends! In return for your valuable time and energy, please know you are making a positive difference and get yourself a free coffee and discounted meal from any food vendors. When you arrive, please sign in at the BEC stall and put on a vest. Have the best day!
Someone will be wandering around about 8am to collect plant raffle donations from stallholders, so please have yours ready. Thanks for your generosity.
As you should know by now, we are a plastic free market and all your packaging needs to be compostable or recyclable. This is vital for the sustainability of our Plant Fair and we need your vigilance. Please take home your rubbish and don’t fill our bins. Maaike and her Waste Warriors will be ensuring everyone disposes of their waste correctly.
We do our best to organise a safe, fun, and well attended day and with your positive friendly attitude and wonderful cooperation, we can make it happen.
It will help everyone if you share our Plant Fair Facebook event page with your friends and family, as per link under. The more the merrier, right?

Keep NSW free of Fire Ants
Fire ants are still a major problem and have been slowly moving into NSW. We certainly do not want them here, so if you are from Queensland or purchase plants from Queensland you must have a permit allowing your plants into NSW.
If you are unsure please contact the DPI for more info: www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fire-ants

Organic and fun children’s activities
Chloe Brant from Bonville Nursery is presenting fantastic children’s activities in site 14.
Join in for some eco-friendly creativity where kids can explore nature’s wonders through our hands-on workshops, crafting beautiful collages with leaves, petals, and grass on recycled cardboard. They also will be making seed bombs from 100% recycled paper, emphasizing their commitment to sustainability. By using natural and recycled materials, Chloe inspires young minds to appreciate the beauty of our planet while fostering a sense of responsibility for its conservation.
