This wonderful family run organic grocery and local produce store is based in Bellingen, close to Coffs Harbour.
Owners Kevin and Lowanna Doye arrived in Bellingen after two years in Sydney. Before that they spent 18 months travelling by bicycle from Oxford, UK to Sydney, Australia , to highlight the impact of air travel on the environment. In the process they wrote numerous articles and won an award for outstanding achievement from the Australian Geographic Society.
They run the business as a social enterprise where social and environmental bottom lines are considered as important as the financial bottom line.

Hearthfire Bakery
Hearthfire started in Bellingen, NSW in 2000. In 2016, they opened a second shop in Sawtell, NSW. Owners Sally & Dave are passionate about not only bread, but also sustainability, local ingredients, and creating a sense of community. As Dave has mentioned, “If we don’t build our communities, there won’t be a community.”
